An English graduate may start his career as a translator/interpreter in media houses, research institutes, industrial houses and government agencies like Ministry of External Affairs and Embassies of foreign countries. In tour and travel agencies, they can either work independently or as tourist guides. Linguists can either join various jobs in the field of entertainment, public relation, mass communication, BPO\'s and KPO\'s or work as online content writer, technical translators and decoders. Graduates and Post Graduates in English Language can work as teachers in schools, colleges and universities or start private tutorials and coaching institutes for English language.
Remuneration:
English teachers can earn Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month or even more depending upon their qualification and experiences. English graduates employed in tour and travel industry can earn Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month but their pay scales vary in media and publishing houses. English language interpreters get Rs. 300 to Rs. 500 per hour whereas English language translators get Rs. 50 to Rs. 100 per page.
